Christmas Party 4th December 2016 17.00-21.00
The Christmas party for 2016 was held at the Vulcan hangar Finningley, the event was well attended and included a superb live band, party games, raffle and a guess the dog`s name competition. Once again thank you to everyone who bought a raffle ticket, or purchased any of the lovely Christmas cards (big thanks to Christine Spyve) all the proceeds do go directly to help purchase equipment for our local renal wards or for social events for patients.
The staff at the Vulcan display hangar were very helpful and put on a great buffet and bar, and the evening had some special presentations, Ellie Kirk presented DABKA with a cheque for over £1200 as a result of her sponsored walk up Mount Snowdon earlier last year, a superb effort and a fantastic total, well done to Ellie. Also Andrew Irwin recieved a framed Liverpool shirt courtesy of Chris & Denise Holliday for his work for the charity, including being our mascot, Captain Kidney, helping out at the gala and being the producer of this web site. Everyone had a great evening and we look forward to this year`s event and seeing you all again, by the way if anyone has any suggestions for either a venue or style of party, please get in touch and we will consider all ideas. This goes for anything else throughout the coming year, do get in touch and be part of the team! Thanks, Andy Wraith (Fundraising Manager).
